Naomi Semadio has over 15 years of human resources management, operations and administration experience. She is an analytical thinker, with strategic leadership skills, a woman of integrity and accountable, strong attention to details and practical experience in personnel management combined with ability to manage big team of staff and resources, made up of units cum programs. She has good interpersonal skills, ability to operate efficiently across organizational boundaries, aptitude to establish and maintain strong working relationships and take ownership of projects and assignments in a multi-cultural multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
She has skill and practical experience to fashion and maintain a robust personnel management system. Recently, as a Director of Human Resources and administration for Tanzania Airport Authority (TAA), Naomi utilized her vast experience, skills and knowledge to pro-actively supervise, monitor results and bring potential and real personnel issues, risks and opportunities to the attention of top management. She has a practical understanding of human resources and employment issues coupled with capacity and maturity to maintain appropriate discretion and confidentiality for sensitive matters of personnel and stakeholders. She is also practical conversant with national and international employment and labor relations regulations, the procedures governing policies and practices in the industry, including hiring, training, resource mobilization and staff welfare matters oversight, succession planning, ability to supervise and coordinate the task and duties of subordinates, work to tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments effectively and efficiently. She took the lead in formulating and updating personnel policies, procedures and practices and also ensured that staff are prudent, adequately motivated, skilled/trained and have appropriate working tools to perform their duties.
Naomi earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2011 from ESAMI, Maastricht School of Management, Arusha, Tanzania and Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) – Human Resources & Management in 2003 from University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She has good computers knowledge and is proficient with several applications packages including entire Microsoft Office suite, internal databases and internet. She also has good presentation and representation skills, a firm command of English and Swahili languages.
