Mr. Mwangi serves as the Chief Principal and Secretary to the Governing Council of the Nyeri National Polytechnic, where With a Master’s degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, he possesses a robust academic foundation that informs his strategic decision-making.

Mr David Mwangi is a highly accomplished education expert with a distinguished career spanning over two decades, dedicated to advancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) he exemplifies leadership and dedication to technical education.. Currently, he serves as the Principal of Nyeri National Polytechnic, where he has made significant contributions to the development and enhancement of vocational education.

His academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Management, a Higher National Diploma in Entrepreneurship Development, and a Diploma in Business Education. Additionally, David has completed the Strategic Leadership Development Programme and Senior Management Courses at the Kenya School of Government, equipping him with the skills necessary for effective leadership.

Beyond his role at the Polytechnic, David is an influential figure in the education sector, serving as a council member of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council, and as a council member of the Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA). As the Chair of the Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI), he has previously held the position of National Chair for Sports and Recreation, showcasing his commitment to good governance and strategic policy implementation. He advocates for the advancement of technical education across the nation.
