Dr. Mutungi has been a TVET school principal for 25 years and is highly dedicated to excellence in vocational training.  Since 2018, she has been the principal of the Nairobi Technical Training Institute, creating collaborations and linkages with industry and small to medium size enterprises.

Dr. Mutungi received a Bachelor of Education from Egerton University in 1996, and a Master of Education from Kenyatta University in 2005.
